Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE CONSTANCE HUPPE After a lengthy illness our loving Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at The Golden Links Lodge, Winnipeg, MB, at the age of 83 years with her loving family by her side. Mom was predeceased by her husband Noel in 1982; her son Norman; and one sister Mavis in 2000; and a daughter in infancy. She is survived by her daughter Yvonne (Ed) Kushniryk; daughter-in-law Joan Huppe; grandchildren, Don, Keith (Zara) Kushniryk, Chris (Alison), Glenn (Gillian), and Pamela Huppe; great-grandchildren, Graeme, Brenna, Emily and Kailyn. Mom was born on February 1, 1922, in Southampton, England. She married Noel in 1945 in England and came to Canada in 1946. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2:00 p.m. at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church in Woodridge, MB, with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Mom's memory may be made to St. Alexander Parish RE: Centennial Celebration, Box 103 Woodridge, MB R0A 2N0. We would like to express our thanks to the Golden Links Lodge for their gentle and loving care given to Mom over the last 10 years. VITA FUNERAL HOME IN CARE OF ARRANGEMENTS.

Cynthia... not sure if you ever got a hold of anyone in the family but Irene was my great-aunt and her sister, Mavis, was my grandma (nee Butler). My mom and I traveled to Southampton to visit family there in 2008 and see where Irene and Norman met and were married (as was Mavis and Vernon. Irene's husband Norman and Vernon were together in the war and all met at a dance hall in Southampton during the war).
